Acquired expertise during many years being part of one of the Leading hotel groups in Switzerland, it became the international division of this prestigous group, prospecting for new business opportunities in South America, which started with the successful development and operation of its first HOTEL ORO VERDE® in Guayaquil-Ecuador in 1981 and gradually new Oro Verde Hotels were developed in Ecuador, followed by market entries in Mexico, Brazil and Peru. All these properties successfully compete today in their market places, some continue to belong to the now local chain Oro Verde Hotels of Ecuador and others were sold and are now part of other franchised hotel groups, like Swissotel and Marriott.
Assistance to the local management of the newly transferred Oro Verde Hotels Lima-Peru and Quito-Ecuador during the phase of change to Swissotel. OROTELS developed both properties and they continue up to today as leading properties in their respective cities under the Swissotel flag..
OROTELS successfully managed, remodeled and repositioned the traditional Hotel Meson del Angel Hotel in Puebla-Mexico during 8 years before turning the property over to their owners who after a short period of time being independent moved the property to the family of the Marriott Hotels. This very nice property continues to be one of the market leaders in Puebla.

OROTELS prepared and developed as consultants concepts of new developments for deluxe hotels in the key cities of Caracas-Venezuela, Bogota-Colombia and Quito-Ecuador. The complete packages realized and ready to go for construction were in the hands of the developers, who due to the economic and political situations at the specific time, did not go forward with the projects. Other projects in different cities and countries were equally prepared, of which several to whom we assisted turned them to successful operations.
